Capital Electrolysis

provides permanent hair removal for everyone experiencing unwanted or excessive hair growth.

Advanced multi-probe electrolysis is the safest most effective permanent hair removal technology available.

Electrolysis is FDA approved (United States Food and Drug Administration) as the only medical and scientifically proven method to remove hair permanently.

It is effective on people of all hair colours and complexions including white hairs and for those with darker skin colours.

Whether you have a few stray hairs or suffer from excessive hair growth, this is the permanent removal solution for you.

How Electrolysis Works

We use a galvanic current that targets the stem cells of the hair preventing the follicle from ever growing again. IPL, Laser hair removal and single probe electrolysis, by contrast, only target hair follicles in the growth phase.  Any dormant hair follicles are not treated, which is why for those modalities multiple sessions are required to achieve any results. With the advanced multi-probe method, we only need to treat the hair once. Advanced electrolysis is “unwanted hair gone for good!”

Why choose Electrolysis over other methods

Multi-probe Galvanic Electrolysis versus Laser Hair removal

IPL (Intense Pulse Light) and Laser have become very popular treatments for hair removal. ‘IPL’ and ‘laser’ are often mistakenly used interchangeably, but IPL and lasers are very different technologies

IPL produces a broad band of light wavelengths, whereas Laser produces a single band of light. Laser is more specific to a target area than IPL, and therefore is more effective than IPL and has fewer side effects and complications.

IPL and Laser use concentrated light energy to target the dark pigment in the hair, which will then gradually decrease hair growth. The results will vary on everyone, but most people will likely need to undergo multiple IPL/Laser sessions to achieve results.

Whereas Multi-probe Galvanic Electrolysis destroys the hairs growth cells responsible for growth without causing damage to the surrounding skins tissue. We only need to treat the hair once.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Galvanic electrolysis is a method of permanent hair removal that uses a small electric current, delivered through a thin probe into the hair follicle. This process triggers a chemical reaction within the follicle.

This reaction produces sodium hydroxide, which targets and destroys the stem cells responsible for hair growth. As a result, the hair is effectively removed, preventing any regrowth.

  • Yes, electrolysis offers a permanent solution for hair removal by directly targeting and eliminating the growth centre of each hair. It is the only method for permanent hair removal that has received approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). This technique is not only highly effective but also delivers lasting results for all skin tones, hair colours, and types.

  • Yes! Electrolysis is safe and effective on all types and colours of hair.

  • Everyone feels pain differently and different areas of the body are more sensitive than others.  You may feel discomfort or a heat sensation.

  • Electrolysis is a safe treatment with minimal reactions. Reactions sometimes occur at the site where the probe has entered the hair follicle, or where the electrode pad has been placed on the body. The skin may be slightly sensitive, swollen or red. These symptoms usually dissipate within 24 hours.

Bruising occurs when a probe hits a capillary wall, this can happen if the skin is vascular, or the hair follicle is fragile. Apply Arnica ointment on the bruise to support healing.

Scabbing- Small scabs can form at the treatment site and are a normal part of the skins healing process. It is crucial to not to pick or remove the scabs as this may cause infection, result in slow healing, or cause scarring.

Once scabs are healed it’s important to keep the skin healthy with good skin care regime that includes regular cleansing, moisturising, exfoliation and daily sun protection. As water conducts electricity a well hydrated skin will heal faster and repair itself beautifully.

  • For optimum results please follow our after-care advice; cleaning the treatment area with witch hazel and applying Melfol Calm Balm  to support the skins recovery. Do not moisturise the area during the scabbing stage.
